It’s been a while since I posted Gwen’s new things. You see, we seldom buy her new stuff, thanks to her 2 bigger cousins. From her crib, stroller and some clothes, Gwen is enjoying hand-me downs since birth. Sometimes, whenever a friend of mine posts photos of her baby, I see lots of toys in the background. Well, I don’t plan on buying lots of toys for Gwen but sometimes, I want to spoil her too.
I planned to buy her a Vtech sit-to-stand toy or an activity table but Jeff was not sold on that idea especially for a toy that costs Php 2,000+. So I just searched on Ebay for other affordable educational toys.
I got her Playskool Busy Basics Busy Poppin’ Pals off Ebay 3 months ago because she enjoys playing peek-a-boo. She would burst into giggles and smiles whenever she plays this. However, since babies have a short attention span, she’ll only play this for just a few minutes and will move on to whatever catches her fancy.
Another thing that we consider when buying things for her is if she can use it for a longer time. Just like this Boikido Counting Station, I’m sure she can still use it until her pre-school age because of the abacus and blackboard.
Jeff and I have a thing for wooden toys, don’t you just love the nostalgic and classic feel too? We plan on buying more Boikido stuff, especially piano. If you want to splurge for your child, buy Boikido toys, they’re eco-friendly, educational and safe for kids and babies because they use non-toxic water-based paints.
