Last July 3, 2015, The Parenting Emporium opened its doors to the public. I was honored to be invited at the launch because I witnessed how founders, Maricel Cua and Beng Feliciano, are beaming with pride with their new endeavor.
The store’s atmosphere is so cheery and friendly, the guests, mostly are parents were all smiles while sharing stories with each other. This is what The Parenting Emporium aims for, it’s for Parenting, to be shared. As cliche as it may sound, we will all agree that it takes a village to raise a child. Beng and Maricel want to make the parenting journey easier for all of us.
The Parenting Emporium’s location is formerly known as The Medela House because they primarily offer Medela breast pumps. Now it’s still their flagship brand.
The Parenting Emporium is a social enterprise wherein each customers can contribute at various levels and benefit different groups as well.
It’s really great to have one store that has nicely curated products for parents and kids. I always choose natural and organic products as well as support local products when it comes to buying things for Gwen. I go to Sesou or Echostore for our skin care needs and browse Instagram for clothes and accessories. But now, I can just go to The Parenting Emporium because they house a wide array of products for the family. Aside from products, they also conduct workshops geared to making us better parents.
Some of the brands carried by the Emporium are well-known international ones like Baby K’Tan, La-Z-Boy, Medela and Belly Armor, and local “brands that give back” like Bios Dynamis, Esensya Productos Artesanales and Nipa Foods, which are the brands of local social enterprises.
