Every child has a gift, we heard this a dozen times from parenting experts, teachers, doctors and mommy friends. Sometimes, we discover our child’s gifts early on, minsan naman late na natin makikita that they are good at a particular sport pala, or that she’s good in painting. Minsan kasi, the kids were not given the right time and the right environment to discover their gifts. That’s why it’s also our responsibility as parents to spot their gifts and nurture them and harness their potential.

To help parents spot their child’s gifts, Promil Four has an app called Spot The Gift, created by Prof. Thomas Armstrong, Ph.D., Multiple Intelligences expert and Executive Director of the American Institute for Learning and Human Development. The Spot the Gift tool is designed to help parents discover their little one’s gift.

Gwen was very shy when she was in pre-school. Iyak ng iyak, ayaw magpa-iwan. But later on, she overcame that shyness and she began to love going to school. It helped that we chose her school that will fit into her personality.

She also loves dancing. At school, she joined their Yaman Ng Lahi, it’s a dance club and every club day, she’s very excited and eager to learn new dances. Last summer, because she loves dancing, she went to G-Force Dance Center Alabang to take their Beginner’s Hip-Hop Classes.

There are 8 types of gifts, so when Gwen and I took the test, I was glad to know that she also exhibits Linquistic and Intrapersonal gifts, aside from Musical gift which is yun lang yung alam namin at first.
