We’re going loco over suprise eggs, or chocolate eggs with a surprise toy inside. It all started when some Disney-themed chocolate eggs went on sale at Hitop, from Php 44 down to Php 22. So we bought the eggs as pasalubong for Gwen. We got hooked collecting the Disney toys inside, they’re cute anyway, and on sale, hihi.
The Disney chocolate eggs from Hitop has toys inside a capsule, reminds me of gashapon capsule toys I see in HK or Japan. I think we bought around 2 dozens until we completed the whole collection.
We got curious over these toys so we looked for other surprise eggs in YouTube:
Exciting no? We got hooked on this that’s why I nearly screamed with delight when I saw Kinder Joy at Landmark. I thought it’s only available in Europe and US. Nag-panic ako that’s why I bought the whole box, 1 dozen of Kinder Joy.
I even got happier because Hitop also sells them for Php 40.50 each.
After a few weeks of bringing home Kinder Joy as pasalubong, she finally got tired of it, she didn’t open the chocolate part and just proceeded on opening the toy. We’re not satisfied with the toys included in these, I think it only has 4 or 5 varieties of toys, and it’s mostly the jackstone like toy that you need to spin.
Problem is, Gwen is asking for more surpise toys. Kakapanood sa YouTube, she’s asking for Spongebob, Diego, etc… Eh wala naman nun dito sa atin, hahaha…
I’ll try to post the toys we got from these eggs on my next post. 🙂

The only toy eggs Justin has are plastic Easter eggs. This is the first time I’ve actually heard about surprise eggs. Lol! It sure is exciting to know what’s inside them.

Oh, I never know these are now available in Manila. I bought Kinder Joys as pasalubong to my niece when I went to Hong Kong some years ago 🙂

Wow!! Where is Hitop? My 4yo is crazy over these too dahil everyday nya watch sa youtube! So her dad looked for it over the net. He only found Zaini eggs (in HK, buti may officemates syang naonsite several times) then he also saw Kinderjoy in rustans. But better yun zaini kasi egg liked chocolate (obviously its me who eats the chocolates) :p

Hitop has 2 branches, Quezon Ave. and in Aurora Blvd. But you can find Kinder Joy in SM too. I know Zaini eggs too, yeah mas ok nga yun kasi chocolate eggs talaga 🙂
Mil-Anne says
Where did you buy the plastic eggs? Lokong loko din yun anak ko dyan 🙂 thanks!
misisb says
Hi Mil-Anne, the big plastic eggs I bought at Toy Kingdom, tapos lalagyan ko na lang ng candies/toy inside. If you mean the Kinder eggs, most supermarkets have them.

OMG super pocket-friendly compared sa prices sa IG. Too bad I live in Zamboanga and walang HiTop dito sa amin. Super fan ang niece ko ng egg surprises and shopkins. Pwd po ba pabili jan if ever? hehehehehe
