December 22, 3 days ’til Christmas and it’s Gwen’s 4th birthday. Just like her 2nd and 3rd birthday, it will just be a simple celebration with the family. We plan to celebrate it at a resto but we were already on the road since Saturday and we don’t want to deal with the hellish traffic.
A day before her birthday, we asked her Christmas wish. We already knew she wants a bike for Christmas, and we already bought the bike and kept it at the storage room. Just the same, Jeff helped her make a letter to Santa.

Gwen also had her idea on what should happen on her birthday. It’s a scene similar from one of the episodes in Peppa Pig. According to our director Gwen:
“Gusto ko paggising ko iwan nyo lang yung pinto na nakabukas, tapos ako na lang bababa mag-isa. Tapos madilim, para masurprise ako. May nakasabit na balloons tapos may cake ibo-blow ko yung candles. Tapos kakanta kayo ng happy birthday. Parang kay PEPPA PIG!”
So after putting her to sleep, Ate Rose and I made buntings and snowflakes while Jeff put the huge box inside the living room.
Well, the birthday girl’s script was not followed. Unang-una, we can’t let her go down the stairs by herself, kaya naka-blindfold sya. Yung mga mag-susurprise sa kanya na mga pinsan nya, tulog pa. At yung cake, cupcake aka Whatta Tops muna. Good thing I kept the candles from the Tous Les Jours cake we had last month.
May kwento pa yang Whatta Tops na yan. I asked Rose to buy 4 Whatta Tops before going to bed. The next day, I found 4 Flat Tops (chocolates!) on the table. Sabi ko para san yung Flat Tops, biglang sabi, “Ate, Flatta Tops ba pinapabili mo sa akin?”
Aaaay…. Sabi ko Whatta Tops kasi dyan natin ilalagay yung kandila… 0_O
Back to the birthday girl, she was really happy with her surprise and I was teary eyed upon seeing her smile. She excitedly opened her gift. Medyo nanghinayang lang ako sa wrapper so when she’s done tearing up the front part, sabi ko tama na, gagamitin ko pa yung wrapper, lol!

Christmas came early in our lives 4 years ago. We had the best present in this lifetime. And today, Santa came early and granted her wish.
Please don’t grow up too fast, my Princess. We love you to Arendelle and back!
