For some women, beauty can’t be compromised even when they are pregnant. I know a lot of women still use the same beauty products during pre-pregnancy, some say it won’t affect the baby because minimal amount can cross the skin’s barrier unless you drink or eat those contents on beauty products, lol!

What happens when Misis B is left on the UP parking lot while waiting for her husband Jeff finish his 5 km. or more run inside UP campus? EAT! Well, this is the first time that I really can’t control my hunger, I always wait for Jeff to finish his rounds and we’ll go to Trinoma, SM North or somewhere to eat. I can finish praying the rosary while waiting for him, but this time it’s different. Hunger won over religious duties but I did pray the rosary after a clean plate of Yakisoba, hotdog sandwich and apple juice.

Cheap but very filling merienda, Php 15 for Yakisoba, Php 25 for hotdog sandwich and Php 10 for the apple juice. I won’t do this often though, instant noodles is bad.
Mommy’s checklist, or an expectant mother’s checklist, I didn’t know that this thing exists until I read this from parenting sites. Until now, the checklists that exist in my life is a travel checklist and a grocery checklist. Who knows what checklist may sprout once the baby is born. Reading parenting sites and learning from other experiences of fellow mommies is a therapeutic way for me to ease out my fear of taking care of my baby. And to start off my journey to motherhood, a Mommy’s checklist is needed.
18 weeks and I haven’t started buying stuff for the baby, though I already set my mind that I will only provide the best things for my baby such as BPA-free bottles, baby-friendly toys and clothes, etc… Together with providing the best, I also want to be practical on buying baby stuff especially clothes since I know that babies grow rapidly and buying expensive clothings is not reasonable for the baby can only wear it for a short time. Perhaps, another reason why we still can’t shop for baby things is because we still don’t know the baby’s gender yet, I’m really really excited at the same time still hoping for a boy.
Last week, we decided to have a preview on baby things to buy by visiting SM’s Infant section. I frowned at how they jacked up the prices of Avent and Playtex brands here, almost 50% compared to their prices in Amazon, *sigh* I asked if they have a mommy checklist and they provided me with a list, the list below is exactly the one handed to me. My first shot in posting a belly shot, I didn’t post belly shots on my first trimester because it’s not obvious. My husband teases me that I’m only full hence the bulging stomach. At 16 weeks, my bump is showing especially when wearing fitted clothes. I can’t use any of my jeans anymore except for jeggings and leggings, I’m happy with this current fashion trend.

I finally had it, food cravings! It may seem a little late but since Saturday, I just want french fries! I’m at home last Saturday and I craved for french fries, I searched at stores in our neighborhood if they have fries, unfortunately, they only cook them during weekdays. So off we go to the supermarket to buy a bag of Frenchies to cook at home, yes I want them crispy with my own dip. I don’t want Jollibee or McD’s fries.
