Gwen is a picky-eater, I’ve tried plenty of multivitamins and appetite stimulants just to boost her appetite but to no avail. She eats, yes, but only in small portions and then she goes to her snack bin and munches on other food. I figured this is just a phase so I let it be. As long as she eats, so I make sure that she has plenty of snack choices such as biscuits and fruits at home. I try to choose healthier snacks for her so as to compensate her poor appetite. I’ve been running out of snack ideas until I discovered Lemon Square Power Pops!
My family loves Whatta Tops and Cheese Cake, also made by Lemon Square, but I’m glad that I got to try Power Pops! to add to our snacks. Power Pops! is a crispy and chewy cereal snack made from all-natural popped rice. Aside from being yummy, it’s also healthy because it has vitamins A, C, B2 and folic acid. Really perfect snacks for kids and the kids at heart!
Power Pops! comes in three variants: Milky Caramel with Cookie Bits, Champorado, and Peanut Caramel with Bottom Chocolate Coating.
We have different bets on the flavors we like (buti na lang para walang agawan :p), Gwen likes the Milky Caramel with Cookie Bits and also Champorado, I like the Champorado, while Jeff likes the Peanut Caramel flavor. I find the Milky Caramel too sweet, that’s why it’s no surprise that it’s my sweet-toothed Gwen’s choice. I like chocolates, so Champorado is definitely my choice, it’s not too sweet, tastes like dark chocolate. Jeff likes the Peanut Caramel because it’s close to an energy bar he eats when he is trail running.
Power Pops! is available in leading supermarkets nationwide. A box of 10 is around Php 60 (in Hitop Supermarket, it’s only Php 58.50). SRP is 6 pesos each.

So you already tried it during your run. Champorado only has 90 calories, I think the Peanut Caramel is best if you intend to eat during trail runs.
