Ms. Kris Aquino is one formidable Filipina we have today. I’m not really a fan but when she talks on TV, I listen…people listen to her raves, rants, and wise words. But just like everybody else, whether you’re a celebrity, a beauty queen, a politician, a working mom, or a housewife, all of us have fears. At the Ariel’s Wash Your Fears Summit, I was able to recognize and overcame my fears along with Kris Aquino and other 100 Fearless Filipinas.
It was one momentous event that I took a leave from work just to be with other fearless mommy bloggers and hear the inspiring stories from keynote speakers about the State of Filipina. Ariel was also able to prove that day that it can remove 1oo stains in 1 wash. I was with other fearless mommy bloggers, my #KumareBloggers!
Before the program formally started, we were asked to write about our fear on a white shirt using our chosen stain.
I wrote my fear using Watercolor Red stain. Death is one fear I can think of that moment but the truth is, I’m scared with a lot of things that it can even surpass 100 stains. When I was younger, I fear of being judged and I worry about what other people say. Now, aside from death, I’m anxious about my family’s future, especially for Gwen. But after hearing stories from other women, my worries are just miniscule compared to them and it was so childish and shameful for me.
This was the wall of 100 stains that Ariel will wash away.
True to its promise, after just 1 wash, the shirts are now clean and stain-free!
Think of the stains as roadblocks that test one’s strength, dedication, and commitment, Ariel knows that Filipinas can stand from the fall and bravely face the world.
The summit featured a panel discussion headlined by Ms. Kris Aquino and female celebrity influencers who are known to be fearless in their various roles. They are Miriam Quiambao, Amina Rasul, Anna Kapunan, Marilou Chua, Samira Gutoc-Tomawis, Mandy dela Rama, Mons Romulo, Aimee Carandang Gloria, Badgie Guerrero-Trinidad, Emmeline Versoza, and Ms. Maria Clara Ignacio.
Kris Aquino shared that when faced with unexpected situations and stains that challenge our abilities, we must use the last ounce of strength to stand up and face our fears. She then added that ACCEPTANCE is the opposite of fear.
Thank you Ariel for empowering Filipinas and reminding me that no stain is hard enough to remove. Now, I am fearless like Kris Aquino!
