Summer season is the time when most families travel either to the beach, theme parks, or province. It’s the perfect time to go because there’s no rain plus the kids don’t have classes.
We just got back from our Siquijor-Dumaguete trip, our trip lasted for 7 days, 3 days in Siquijor and 4 days in Dumaguete. A lot of you asked and how we do it. Even when Gwen was still a baby, that did not stop us from doing what we love, and that is traveling.
Tips for #ZeroWorries Family Travel
1. Prepare a packing checklist.
I know that we have #momnesia moments kaya a checklist is very important. Aside from clothes, you should also list down the medicines, vitamins, toiletries, slippers, IDs (bring your child’s school ID), cameras, charger, etc.

2. Book in advance.
This applies to buying plane, ship, or bus tickets. Kasama na rin yung hotel reservations. Kung dati na wala ka pang family of your own, you can go on a trip on a whim without any reservations, mahirap pag may kasamang kids, don’t take your chances. It will be less worries on your part too.
3. Be early.
You will go on vacation to de-stress right? So go early para iwas stress na sa queue ng check in counters or sa worry na baka maiwan ka ng bus or plane.
TIP: You can check in online for your flights. This way, you can print your boarding pass at home and just show it to the boarding gates.
4. Practice slow travel.
Ever since we brought Gwen with us, we minimized the activities we do for the trip. Children needs to rest, kasi pag pagod sila, hello tantrums yan, and that’s the last thing you’ll want in your trip. Just make an itinerary, talk with the family including the kids where do you want to go. Just narrow it down if there’s still too many. Hindi mo rin naman ma-aappreciate ang isang place if you’ll just go there for a few minutes, take photo, and then leave.
When you have babies, you can also take turns with your husband. May time na husband will have some time alone to explore while I’m at the hotel with the baby, syempre wife has time to go shopping din.
5. Be organized and travel light.
I loooove the packing cubes, I can’t live without it. We have 3 packing cubes in 3 different colors para we’ll know kung kaninong packing cube yun.
6. Keep the kids entertained.
Bring a toy or books, or bring some snacks to keep the kids entertained.
7. Bring a water container.
We have sensitive stomachs kaya we always bring our own water. We bring this Klean Kanteen bottle because it’s insulated. At the end of the day, syempre hinuhugasan ko rin yung water bottle namin. I use the Best Ever Joy dishwashing liquid because it’s guaranteed na Zero Sebo.
Best Ever Joy since they have a new formulation. It now has HOD, a powerful ingredient which is an amphiphilic polymer that locks in grease better and prevents it from attaching again to dishes when rinsing plates, sponges, sink and hands. Grease is broken quickly and efficiently when you use Joy.
There are still lots of tips and hacks to be said, but for the meantime, I hope these tips will give you #ZeroWorries and more quality time with family.
The best ever Joy comes in limited offer of only Php 99 for the 495 ml bottle. Joy is available in all leading grocery and supermarkets. Check out www.facebook.com/JoyPhilippines for more information.
