Do you remember the TV commercial about the yaya riding a tricycle while her alaga looks out from the window? I’m not sure if it’s for a hotdog or pancit canton commercial, basta I’m searching for it in YouTube and I came across this Rebisco commercial. May ganito rin pala but I’m pretty sure there’s another one hindi ko lang maalala.
We had the same situation last week, Ate Rose went back to Cagayan to help her mother with their small piece of land. Her mother asked her to go back to Cagayan as early as January, pero sa sobrang bait nya kay Gwen, she requested to her nanay na kung pwede March na lang, patapusin nya lang muna yung school ni Gwen. March came and we still can’t find a new yaya until last Holy Week, Ate Rose said nagagalit na raw nanay at ate nya sa kanya that’s why she has to leave on the 18th. She broke the final sad news via text, nasa office ako. Ayun, kahit nakakaiyak, syempre wala naman kaming magagawa. I just thanked her for everything, especially for loving Gwen.
April 18. Ate Rose is ready to go, we will drop her at her cousin’s house in Las Pinas. Original plan is that we go to Las Pinas then head to our house in Cavite without Ate Rose. But when we asked her if she wants to go, sasama pa rin daw sya and she’ll just leave in the evening. Kaya ayan, one more day with Ate Rose.
We can’t stop the time and we still have to say goodbye. We drove to her cousin’s house in silent. Ate Rose cried while saying goodbye to Gwen. Gwen knows that Ate Rose is leaving, sinasabihan na rin sya a few weeks to prep her. Gwen just stared at her the whole time she was saying goodbye. We stayed there for a good 5 minutes, and then we left. Gwen was like this at the back of the car…
I really don’t know why you are silent, anak. Perhaps, questions running in your mind like bakit kelangan nya umalis?, etc… Why didn’t you cry while mommy is mustering her courage not to show you her tears?
Eh si mommy naman pala yung umiyak, hindi si Gwen…
Baby, I cried because I can see sadness in your eyes. I wept because I know there was a loss inside you, oh how I wish a Rebisco cracker can make up for that just like in the TVC.
Know that many people will come and go into your life, this is only the start. But one thing’s for sure, mommy and daddy will be around, no matter what.
We’ve gone through this heartache with our eldest, too. I get you mommy. We’re okay, but seeing our children hurt and sad is too much to bear for us.
I can relate, I remember when our goood ate left my daughter, The little were really sad,and I was also teary eyed.. Hate goodbyes
She must have been a real find and a special one at that to have this effect.

How I wish we have a yaya we could really love and treat as a family. Most of our yayas are months lang (I even had less than 24 hours yaya!). But that’s part of growing up, right? 🙂 I remembered tuloy the same experience when I had to say goodbye to our yaya we had for years.
Naiyak ako. Hahahaha! Weird me! Pero kasi the not-crying Gwen seemed like a really sad Gwen. 🙁 But you are right, people may come and go but we are here, always, for our children. They just have to toughen up I guess. 🙂
Haaay salamat, akala ko nag-PPMS lang ako kagabi nung sinusulat ko to tapos naiiyak haha… Hindi pala ako weird :p

Efficient naman ang bago, efficient maglinis ng bahay. Nakalimutan ata nya na may bata syang aalagaan haha

Lots of hugs to Gwen. It’s so hard for kids, especially if they don’t yet have a good grasp of their feelings and emotions. It’s also heartbreaking for us to see them like that.
It’s so sad 🙁 same here if our yaya will leave us all of us will be sad she is with us during our high school days pa and now she is the one who is taking good of care of Little Kulit. Super love niya si kulit and spoiled

Awww! At least she knows she will always have you. Bis I know I’m lucky that even though my son liked his ex-yaya, he was never too attached to her.
