I gave birth at Chinese General Hospital via NSD. My OB, Dra. Mitch Borbe is affiliated with the hospital that’s why I chose it there aside from it’s the one near our place. We went to the delivery room at 1 AM in the morning and I gave birth at 9:53 AM of December 22, 2010. I thank God that I had an easy delivery, the most excruciating pain of labor lasted for only an hour before the final GO! My OB is also happy that I didn’t give her a hard time on my delivery, after 3 or 4 pushes, baby’s out!
Our hospital bill costs Php 28, 606.55. That includes private room charge, nursery room charge, delivery room and labor room fees, PF of both OB and pediatrician and the medicines and other miscellaneous items. I was not able to use my Philhealth at that time because it’s a holiday and no one can sign the form, I’ll just reimburse it next year.
Private room charge in Chinese General Hospital is Php 1750 in the old building and Php 2000 in the new building. Jeff chose the old building because it’s near the delivery room. Rooms are clean and the comfort rooms are clean and well-maintained.

Most of the bulk of the cost in giving birth is due to the high PF of doctors but I’m lucky to have a very good OB with minimal PF. Dr. Mitch Borbe’s PF is Php 10,000, but with less Philhealth, it’s only Php 7,500. If you’re looking for a good OB, I recommend her because although she’s young, she took care of me throughout my pregnancy and had me and my baby safe and healthy. She has clinic schedule at Centralle Medical Diagnostics at 6th Avenue, Caloocan City every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. She replies through text messages whenever I have questions or I just need some quick consultations too.
Whew, I’m glad that I breezed through this pregnancy and Jeff. I’ll just claim my SSS Maternity benefit next year to recover part of the costs.
we’ll most likely be spending the same amount, pero after insurances na daw yun, pag normal delivery ako…
i’ll just give birth at a women’s clinic and i’m just so happy my husband is willing. i’m scared of big hospitals and i really would love to have this moment with the closest people to me.. pag don pa kami nakatira sa old place namin, for sure, mas-stress lang ako after or maybe during delivery…

Yung phone number, 366-85-90, number nya yun sa clinic nya sa Centralle near 5th Avenue. And yes, covered sya ng HMO, I used my Medicard every check-up. Pag wala naman, consultation fee is 300-400.
I think meron din syang clinic sa Polymed Tondo, pero not sure, just call the number above to be sure.

Hi Monica, sorry, typo error. 28k yung bill ko not 20k. I was there 1 am ng Dec. 22, I gave birth 9:45 am ng Dec. 22. Tapos I went home agad ng Dec. 23, siguro kaya mura kasi parang 2 days lang ako sa hospital. Hindi ko ginamit yung Medicard ko, I paid in full. Mura kasi maliit lang yung PF ng OB ko, 7,500 lang.

hi tere congrats sa 2nd baby mo.well sa question mo wla akong idea pero mas maganda kung visit ka sa clinic nya.aq kasi inabot lng ng 22 normal.maganda ang services.yung mga nurses very friendly.yung sa labor rum ok nman sk magaling tlg si doctora.ang isa pa pwede kang makiusap sa knya para mababaan yung fee nya.dhil naka discount tlg kaming mag asawa.naalala kopa nung ngma mild labor nako sabi nya kapag nanganak daw ako ng wla sa oras wag nadaw ako pumunta ng chinese dhil napaka mahal ng incubator.ayaw din nya na mgtatagal sa delivery rum dhl mahal din daw kaya gagawin nya lahat para dika mahirapan at mapamahal.try mo sis pumunta sa clinic nya:)

hi.. im a mom whose planning to give birth at cgh this aug, i had a very baaaaaaad experience from my first birth giving sa province,nagkarun ng malaking impact sakin ung delivery rum, kaya tuloy ngaun i dont knw how i will i bring my self to the delivery rum at mahiga sa delivery bed, can anyone describe me how delivery bed looks like here, i mean will u be able to see ur ob during the push or the ceiling lang,grabe sobrang hirap ng feeling ko ngaun, do you think the nurses can put a pillow on upper part of my head pra lang inde ako nerbyusin enouggh to see my ob, hope anyone can help me

the nurses are good and nice.sabihin mo lng yung gusto mo.
alam mo ba na nanganak ako ng hindi ko alam kung pano nila nilabas yung bata.well may sinaksak sila sakin para ma groggy ako.then isang mahabang push at nakatulog n pla ako and when i woke up ns recovery rum nako.

isa lng yung promise nya sakin noon, hindi kita patatagalin sa delivery rum dhl mahal parang patak ng taxi at ayokong nahihirapan ang pasyente ko.

nagpatingin n po ako s unang OB ko peo I am not satisfied about the result, sabi po sa result I have PICOS. She just gave me a medicines like metformin and hormonal imbalance pill peo parang my kulang pa. Saan ko po b kayo mapupuntahan pare makapagpacheck up. Gustong gusto ko na pong magkaanak.

hello! nasa 38 wks nko, i choose CGH para manganak, st luke’s sana pero masyado mahal, wala p nmn ako philhealth o insurance. Somebody referred me to Dra. Patricia Tan at Dra Olga Sangalang. Anybody there na naging pasyente na nila? CS ang delivery ko,hanap ko din ang feeling ng care ng doctor at hindi yung reliever lang ang tumitingin pag check -up. Pls help!

zee18 meron poh charity dun..try q na den pa check up on Monday sa cgh..di q din afford mga digits na nkikita q..charity na me pipila.agahan lng pagpunta,4 am cguro dun name,.sna tanggapin pa q.4 mos na kc di a q nakapag prenatal..pwede kya dun pasabay ung tubal ligation…hmmmm
same here doc. mitch borbe is very frank, i also experience pre term labor. sinabi nya din sa amin na maghanap ng ibang hospital na mura ang incubator incase manganak ako ng maaga and kailanganin ng incubator. im on my 36th week tomorrow and check up ko na din.
