When I was still in college, a computer and a printer is a must. I can’t get my school projects done without a reliable printer by my side. At that time, I was using an HP Deskjet Printer, a slim one that does its job, which is to print. When I graduated college and started working, I upgraded my old desktop computer to a laptop and never really cared on getting a new printer until now. I figured I don’t have any use for it yet since Gwen is still a toddler, if I have important documents needed to be printed, I use our office’s black&white printer.
So when HP Philippines and EON offered me a spanking new printer, of course, I welcomed it with open arms! They sent me this top-of-the-line HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 e-All-in-One Printer…
Unboxing it yields the very classy black-colored printer, inks, installation CD, manual, free photo papers, power cable and a USB cable (which you may not need since the printer can be wifi-enabled).
When it comes to gadgets, it’s Jeff who is in charge coz I dislike reading manuals, hehe. But since I got too excited for this printer, I tried assembling it by myself. It only comes with two cables, I couldn’t go wrong with a USB and a power cable. After plugging it and turning it on, the LCD screen played a video on how to install the ink cartridges, I was like, “a printer with an LCD screen, wow!”.
With the help of that video, I was able to load them all four. Easy-peasy!
After the software installation, I immediately headed to HP Philippines Facebook page and looked for some activities I can print to test-drive the printer. At the Arts & Crafts section of HP Ink Advantage A+ tab, I picked the perfect one for Gwen, Fruit Flash Cards. If you have toddlers, this is great for your kids too!
A few seconds of downloading the PDF file, I printed it coz I got excited with the outcome, full-colored 3 pages!
I only used an ordinary bond paper for this yet the colors are still vibrant. I was worried that the colors might bleed but because I used an original HP Ink Advantage cartridges, I’m assured that it will produce high-quality prints every time. Right after cutting, I had the print-outs laminated first. Voila! I have my own customized Flash Cards for Gwen.
I was wrong when I thought that I don’t need a printer yet, moms like me who has a toddler can make use of a printer to create educational and fun activities for their kids. Everybody needs a printer!
Watch out for a very BIG SURPRISE in a few weeks! *winks* Meanwhile, please like the HP Philippines and The Misis Chronicles for updates.

Wow! Good for you at least both of you and your Gwen enjoy what your printer can do for you. I have another brand of printer here in my shop, this is 3n1 because it is needed in my Netcafe. And you’re right we badly needed this kind of a machine nowadays.
