Last week, I attended a parents orientation for a 2 week free trial class in a Kumon Learning Center here in Caloocan. I registered for the 2 week trial class for Reading or Math program for my nephew, and I also wanted to check they can accommodate Gwen for their trial class. It’s a 3-hour orientation for the parents while the kids undergo a diagnostics exam so that the teachers can gauge the child’s ability.
During the orientation, I learned a lot about Kumon and its benefits to the child. We also got the chance to answer 1 Math worksheet, buti na lang addition lang, hahaha… I really believe that Math and Reading are the two key subjects that a child must master, and everything will just follow. I’d really love to tell you more about Kumon but I think the people at Kumon Learning Centers near you have more authority than I am. You can still register for the free trial classes, attend the orientation to know more about Kumon.
Trial classes will begin on September 16, 2013. In those two weeks they will:
• Attend four class days
• Get Kumon worksheets daily
• Receive a study assessment from the Instructor
• Have an individualized study plan

I thought Kumon was only like a philippines tutor class/program, but I think it’s actually international because I’m in California and I saw other Kumon tutor places. cool.
Medyo mahal ang fee sa Kumon I heard, but it’s all worth it naman daw malaking tulong sa studies ng bata.
I recommend Kumon, sis. We’ve been in the Reading program for almost six months now, and I’m happy with Yue’s progress. 🙂
This is the kind of tutorial that my children should have. They are having problems understanding Math. 🙁
i was able to work in kumon part-time when i was still a college student and i have seen their learning materials. they are really great and helps a child to be more self-confident and develop their own study/learning techniques.
we’ve been in kumon since the class started and we only see the center once a week,it’s good actually but my sentiments is my son doesn’t like to review his math subject now plus all he cares now is the worksheet and not the academics in school but still seeing good result in his subjects in sch.
I’ve always been curious about Kumon, but I never really tried inquiring what they have to offer to children. I guess the free trial classes would be a good way of assessing if this will work for our kids or not.
It’s Php 1,800 per month Yami. But considering the great advantage your child can have, it’s a good investment.
Yup, perfect timing. Register mo si Justin 🙂
That’s the purpose of Kumon sis, since the child knows about Math already, they can concentrate to study on other subjects in school.
