We applied for Gwen’s passport last week. We’re lucky to find an earlier schedule for passport application for her passport to be released just in time for our Singapore trip on July. Our appointment is at 5:00 pm, but we’re already there at 4:30 pm and proceeded with the process, we’re finished after 30 minutes.
Requirements for passport application of infants/minor are minimal:
- NSO authenticated birth certificate – I requested Gwen’s birth certificate via NSO Birth Certificate Delivery.
- Passport of both parents, original and photocopy
- Personal appearance of minor with either parent
- Marriage certificate, original and photocopy
Gwen’s passport will be released on June 13 since they don’t accept rush applications. Regular passport processing is Php 950. Passport delivery is additional Php 120.
I’m so excited for our first family trip, the three of us. I’ll take lots of pictures of Universal Studios, steel buildings around Singapore, food trips and shopping at Orchard Road for Gwen to see once she grows up.
i need to know if i can apply for a passport kahit local registrar lang ang meron kami
Hi Mia,
You need the NSO certified birth certificate. After 3 or 4 months, available na yun.
Hmmm my mom wants to have her passport pero tamad sya pumunta sa dfa
Waaa I need to process our papers already so that we can get passports na. Not sure when we are going abroad but it would be nice to be prepared in case there are promo fares 😀
Our passport will expire next year. Good thing DFA has an office at SM Megamall already. We can shop while waiting for our name to get called 😀
I also want to be able to go to Singapore with my family!!Good thing Ykaie already has a passport…
Even if your baby is too young to remember the trip, once she sees the pictures she will be glad to know that you already took her to Singapore.
Looks like you got your baby’s passport with no unnecessary delay. Problems with travel documents sure are dampers to excitement for the trip.
I have to ask my mom to try the E-Passport application so the processing will become easier for her.
I have not tried E-passport application. It is good to know that passport application is getting easier. Now I am reminded for the renewal of my passport
They have a special lane for preggy moms. =)
I’m sure Ykaie will enjoy the trip.
i would love for us to visit Singapore, too, but I guess, apart from saving up for the trip I also need to get my little man a passport! 😉
hmm it sounds easy lang pala no.. the problem with me naman, my inconsistency sa name ko 🙁 kaya malamang applying for a passport would be hard
