One night, I was putting her to sleep and sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. To my surprise, she’s also humming and babbling her very own lyrics. So now, we kept on playing this song on YouTube and let her sing her own version, haha…

Oh yes, finally! At 1 year and 2 months, Gwen is now walking! At first, she is just cruising around the small table in our living room or just holds on to us with one hand while walking. Last week, she finally had the confidence to walk on her own. And she is walking non-stop, she walks around the house like a boss. When eating, she won’t sit on her high chair anymore. She wants to be chased around the dining and living room to eat, I don’t want her mealtimes to be like that but she just discovered her freedom.
I thought that carrying a sleeping tiny baby is tiring, but chasing a walking toddler is something else! I think now is my chance to get rid of my excess weight. No need to read up on apidextra review, diet pills or fad diets. Just playing with my energetic toddler will burn enough calories.
Gwen turned 14 months last Wednesday, the toddler is becoming more and more active these days. Every time we come home from work, she has a new learning for her to amaze us. She would give us sloppy kisses, throw her toys, dance whenever she hears music, sings pa-ra-pa-pa… in the tune of “Showtime” jingle, etc. She’s also becoming naughtier but I can’t help seeing her cry when I try to discipline her, tsk tsk tsk.

I didn’t get party invites from my Jollibee birthday package so I asked the ever reliable Ethel Sia of Sugar Prints to make Gwen’s invites. I’m a fan of her designs and she’s the one I turn to whenever I need some business cards, product tags, etc…
I ordered 20 pieces of the invites, only a few because I just created an events page on Facebook for the other guests.

Last December 18, we celebrated Gwen’s 1st birthday. We celebrated it ahead of time, 4 days before her birthday, because that’s the most ideal weekend, the next weekend is already the 24th and 25th, Christmas day. So right after I attended the NAPBAS in Malaysia, it’s time for another big big big celebration!

Yaya hunting has been a roller coaster ride. After the perfect yaya left last October, we already had 2 replacement nannies. And because they can’t keep up with the perfect yaya’s standards, we are always searching and on the look out for a new one. There are good and bad days, good times because I can see that they are really trying but bad times outnumbered the good ones.
