Montessori de San Juan: Providing Progressive Education for Today’s World

When I was looking for a school for Gwen 2 years ago, I encountered a lot of schools using the word “Montessori”. I got enticed to enroll her for Junior Kinder but it turned out that they are just using the traditional teaching method. I even complained on DepEd about it but they said that they have no rulings about school’s teaching methods. Even in the US, schools use them all the time because the word Montessori is not legally protected. That’s why as parents, we need to research, observe the teaching method, and see if they are using Montessori materials.

One school that is recognized by American Montessori Society is Montessori de San Juan. It was established in 1975 and continues to provide progressive education up to present.

My Baby Planet: A mom’s one-stop-shop

Oh the excitement it brings when you become a first-time mom, that’s what I felt when I became pregnant with Gwen 6 years ago. Part of the journey aside from learning and reading parenting articles is the shopping part! Not for the mommy of course, it’s for the baby. Until now, when I go shopping for myself I ended up buying for Gwen. Shopping is fun but is also exhausting for a pregnant mom especially if you’re going from one shop to another. I remember walking to SM North Edsa from Trinoma because some items we wanted to buy are out of stock in Trinoma.

Now, shopping for your baby’s needs will be a joyful experience at My Baby Planet.

There are products that once you’ve tried it, you’re hooked and there’s no turning back. That’s how I feel about Belo Baby since I was introduced to their Hair & Body Wash, Face & Body Lotion, and Bar Soap. My whole family is more than satisfied that’s why we always stock on them whenever we do the grocery. Parents, experience more together

The African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”, may be a cliche but this will always hold true. But for a fledgling family like us with our only daughter, Gwen, the greatest foundation a child can have is from her parents. While we still need all the help we can get from the yaya and from my Nanay, nothing compares to the bond formed between the child and her mommy and daddy.

I learned a new hybrid word today, it’s called Framily. If there’s a Frenemy, which we all don’t want to have, then Framily is the exact opposite. It’s when your friends became your family. We can meet a lot of friends throughout the years but there can only be a few that you can call friends for life… BFFs… framily!

Having said that, I would like you to meet my framily. We’ve been friends since 2nd year high school and you know what they say? That your high school friends will be your friends for life. We came from an all-girls Catholic school and we really grew up as sisters. After 2 decades and we’re still here, I’d say it’s really true.
