The holiday rush is real! Lots of people are flocking to the malls buying presents, parties and reunions here and there, deadlines to beat, etc. In our case, we will be spending the holidays in Boracay. That’s why I have to double my effort to finish all the office works.
Sa sobrang busy ko, I forgot to give a little amount to Nanay who will spend Christmas with my brother. Nanay just underwent cataract surgery that’s why I told her not to cook for Christmas and just order food.
…Nowadays, I only go out if it’s really necessary, like going to the grocery, bank errands, picking up school requirements, or if there’s an emergency. And when I do need to go out, naka-plan na talaga ang agenda ko for the day. Para hindi sayang ang paglabas di ba… Anyway, ang pinaka-challenging lang naman sa to-do list ko is bank errands. As much as possible, I don’t want to line up inside banks… with this pandemic, ayokong mag-stay sa loob ng establishment with a bunch of people waiting for our turn.
The other day naglambing si Nanay, she asked if I can send her money kasi hindi pa raw nagbabayad yung renters nya. Usually, I will deposit money to my brother’s account and then he withdraws tapos bibigay kay Nanay. They prefer to have cash on hand, si Nanay pa rin kasi ang nagbabudget at namamalengke sa kanila kaya gusto nya laging siyang may hawak na cash haha. Senior citizen na raw sya, anong alam nya sa mga online payments, sa palengke daw, kailangan cash ang bayad. Ang hassle lang kasi my brother will commute pa to withdraw money in ATM. Pero not anymore because I learned an easier way to send and claim money thru Smart Padala.
During this pandemic when everyone is encouraged to stay at home, we were challenged how to cope in a work from home set up, how to study online, and how to manage our business online. I realized na yung mga daily activities natin pwede naman palang magawa through the help of the internet.
Now more than ever, our family’s health is the top priority. We cannot take any chances and sabi ko nga, I will not allow this Covid-19 disease to come near my family. Kaya naman, we always disinfect, wash hands, and observe proper hygiene. Aside from making sure that everything is clean and sanitized, I see to it that we have a balanced diet, exercise, and plenty of rest.
One thing that this pandemic brought to us is we became more conscious about our health. We should never let our guards down or else, the invisible enemy can take advantage.
Now that we are living through tough times because of COVID-19, we must always be on guard against germs. Germs have different types, bacteria, viruses, and fungi, are the most common ones but they all have a common denominator, they all make us sick and some germs also make us stink.
Ayaw nating magkasakit lalo na sa panahon ngayon. As mothers, it is our role to protect our family against illness. Kaya naman I listed below some of the things you can do to protect your family against germs.
…With the current community quarantine we’re undergoing right now because of COVID-19, I’m sure a lot of moms like me felt derailed with my usual schedule. Husband and kids are at home, we can’t go out because of the virus scare, so what’s left to do?
If you saw the photos taken from Wuhan, China when they also had a lockdown, you can see blue skies, no smog, no traffic… A lot of people concluded that Mother Earth is just taking her time to heal.
Now that Metro Manila is under community quarantine, let’s just think that our environment needs to heal too. And while Mother Earth is healing, it’s also time to declutter inside our homes.
