It’s a long weekend and it’s a relaxed Sunday afternoon at our home. Instead of popping pimples, I decided to spend my afternoon whipping up a new recipe. I watched Sharon at Home at the Lifestyle Network and they cooked Beef Salpicao. So I decided to try this one since there’s a few slices of sirloin in the freezer. I marinated the thin slices of beef in oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, pepper and Magic Sarap (my BFF in the kitchen).
After an hour, I sort of stir-fried the beef in extra-virgin olive oil until cooked. Topped it with garlic flakes for presentation.
Now, I’ve never had any serious kitchen disasters, only recipes that turned into something else. For this instance, Jeff thought I cooked Beef Tapa, I told him it’s Beef Salpicao. Honestly, when I first tasted it, I also thought of that one too. It’s not a major fail, because Jeff liked how it tasted, a delicious Beef Tapa, accidentally!

sis, I vote for beef tapa 🙂 looks tasty to me… whatever it is. As long as it’s well-done, I wouldn’t mind tasting it myself 🙂 lifestyle/food network really inspires anyone to cook. My favorite is Tyler’s ultimate. I haven’t tried watching Sharon’s show yet.

Your first sentence (i.e. the one with “instead of poppin pimples”) made me laugh.
On Maggi Magic Sarap – I also like it with fried rice. My brother taught me that. 😉
