Baby stuff are so expensive, right? I’m quite surprised that even the smallest baby spoon can cost an arm and a leg. But as parents, we’d like to give the best and the safest for our child. Well, some companies are banking on these baby stuff, you know, because they know parents will buy anything cute for their baby. They will label it as baby/diaper bag and priced it at a higher price and voila, you’ve fallen to one of their marketing ploys (including me!). I still can’t figure out the difference between the diaper bag and an ordinary bag, though.
Another baby stuff that I saw while browsing is a diaper caddy, it’s supposed to store all the baby essentials from diapers, baby bath essentials, baby wipes, etc. It’s like a day bag that you can carry and put in your living room so that you don’t have to go back and forth to baby’s room for his/her needs. Diaper caddies cost starts at $20 and up.
I didn’t buy one, instead, I used a plastic basket I found lying around the house. It also serves the same function as a diaper caddy!
Before we leave for work, I put all Gwen’s essentials here that’s she’s going to use throughout the day and put this in our living room. This way, yaya won’t go upstairs to get her things. I put 2 sets of clothing, 4 pieces of diapers, rubber mat, baby wipes, insect repellant spray, aceite de manzanilla, cotton, cotton buds, bibs, lampin and burp cloths.
Everything Gwen needs in just one basket, my makeshift diaper caddy.
Mommies, share some parenting and baby care tricks!
