When Jeff and I became parents, we’ve come to the point that we worry about our daughter’s future. We’d like to live longer so that we can still guide her even if she became independent. In order for us to live a longer life, we should take care of our health as early as now. As they say, being healthy should be a lifestyle, not just a fad. Robinsons Supermarket helps us in our wellness journey through its #ILoveWellness campaign.
The wellness month that will last the whole month of July gets a head start with a race to wellness fronted by active lifestyle advocates Daniel and Vanessa Matsunaga at Robinsons Magnolia. There’s also a cooking demo by The Sexy Chef owners, Rachel Alejandro and sister Chef Barni Alejandro.
Booths from known health and wellness brands Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Del Monte, Abbott, Fonterra and Unilab were also in place to offer exciting activities and freebies for shoppers to enjoy and learn more about wellness.
To be able to start in your wellness journey, one must know the current state of health in order to address immediate problems your body needs. That’s why I’m glad that there were booths that offered body weight analysis and bone scan from Anlene.
This is the Wellness Plate according to Nestle. Half of our plate should be fruits and vegetables, 1/4 for rice, grains, breads, and 1/4 for meats.
One might find it difficult to start living a healthy lifestyle, what to eat, where to find them, or how much is it, are some of the problems. Well, just set foot inside Robinsons Supermarket and you will see its health and wellness section. This section aims to address varied nutrition needs to fit every lifestyle and to help consumers make learned purchases.
Robinsons Supermarket continues to employ the “Shop Smart” tag label that color codes items based on their health benefits, nutritional content, and price discounts. Achieve everyday wellness and choose healthy items in green tags. These are products that meet at least three (3) of the Food and Nutrition Research Institute’s eight (8) nutritional attributes, namely: low salt, low calorie, low fat, low in saturated fat, sugar free, low cholesterol, low sodium, source of protein and source of dietary fiber.
Personally, I really love doing my grocery at Robinsons Supermarket. I love Healthy You, Robinsons Supermarket’s own line of healthy and nutritional food products. I always buy their trail mix and cashew nuts. They also have mixed fruit cups and vegetables that are great for snacking and for people on-the-go who still want to eat healthy.
The notion that healthy foods are quite expensive and difficult to come by is proven wrong by Robinsons Supermarket. You can even be rewarded by just buying wellness products. For instance, given a minimum purchase of Php 3,000 with Php 500 worth of purchase of participating wellness products, customers can enjoy free nutritious items like Healthy You Mixed Nuts. This is just some of the activities or offers in-store for Robinsons Supermarket customers nationwide.
