For some women, beauty can’t be compromised even when they are pregnant. I know a lot of women still use the same beauty products during pre-pregnancy, some say it won’t affect the baby because minimal amount can cross the skin’s barrier unless you drink or eat those contents on beauty products, lol!

beauty products for pregnant women
Babycenter.com lists skin care products containing harmful chemicals to avoid during pregnancy, while others may not believe on these, it is better safe than sorry. I shall give utmost priority to my baby’s health than my face. Besides, there are plenty of other alternatives that can still give your face and body some pampering.
Some beauty products and harmful ingredients to avoid during pregnancy:
- Retinoids
- Salicylic acid
- Soy-based products
- Hair depilatories
- Anti-aging products that contain high doses of vitamin A
- Hair dyes
After learning that I’m pregnant, I readily stopped using my derma set and tried various safe products that will work on my skin. Fortunately, my skin didn’t get zits and other skin problems after quitting from all those products. It’s quite a savings too because I won’t spend a lot buying derma sets, BB creams and powder foundation. So my beauty regimen now is just Cyleina organic soaps for face and body, Human Heart Nature’s Tomato and Lemongrass facial wash and also HHN’s shampoo and conditioner. I don’t wear make-up so it’s just baby powder and Burt’s Bees lip balm for me. These products may not give me great skin but I’ll just rely on the glow that pregnany gives. Besides, my husband still thinks I’m beautiful *wink*…
Ako girl I did got alot of zits…baka totoo nga sabi nila pag boy daw, pumapangit anf mommy 😛
